5. Precision grinding: The sintered round bar is subjected to precision grinding to remove the oxide skin and roughness on the surface and to improve the surface quality and dimensional accuracy of the round bar. Precision grinding can use grinding machine, polishing machine and other equipment.
6. Drawing of long rods: Ground round rods are drawn by means of a drawing machine so that their diameter is gradually reduced while their length is increased. Drawing can be done by repeating the operation several times until the required size and length are achieved.
7. Heat treatment: Heat treatment is one of the important processes for tungsten steel round bars. Heat treatment includes two processes: annealing and hardening. Annealing is to heat the round bar to a certain temperature, hold it for a period of time, and then cool it slowly. The annealing process can eliminate the stress inside the round bar, improve the organisational structure, and improve the toughness of the material. Quenching is to heat the round bar to a critical temperature and then cool it rapidly to harden the steel quickly. Quenching improves the hardness and wear resistance of round bars.
8. Surface treatment: Surface treatment is to improve the corrosion resistance and decorative effect of tungsten steel round bars. Common surface treatment methods include galvanisation, chromium plating and spraying.
9. Testing and quality control: Tungsten steel round bars need to be tested several times during the manufacturing process to ensure that the products meet the specified quality standards. Common testing methods include dimensional measurement, chemical composition analysis, mechanical property test, etc.
10. Finishing: After the above process, the obtained tungsten steel round bars can be finished. Finishing includes turning, milling, drilling, grinding and other operations to obtain products that meet the requirements.
